Flanders Fields is a highly touristic region in Belgium. But in 2016, it experienced a dramatic drop in visitors. So, in 2017, tourism agency Visit Flanders, made use of the anniversary of the battle of Passchendaele to remind Europe and the world of what had happened there 100 years ago, and to encourage people to visit Flanders Fields again.
The offline activation was turned into a Facebook Live and a hero movie that kicked off an innovative and personalized social media campaign targeted to the countries that had taken part in the battle of Passchendaele.
